Why do you need to have six different ways for your fans to connect to you? And how does "getting your online ducks in a row" early in the process will give you "cred" even before you have your first CD/Album/Whatever out? Yes, you could write a book on the subject, but here is an overview: http://schooloftherock.com/html/your_on ... sence.html |

Here's an article that's NOT about music, but addresses the issue of creating your own brand even when you're neck deep in a career you love. The fellows I know who have been "released" from a band they had given 110% to COULD have used this advice. Maybe you can use it before it's too late. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/joys-los ... ne-seymour |

It's interesting how much of the indie musician's self-promotion relies on "social media" these days. To some it's a "rabbit hole" they go down and never escape, to some it's a "necessary evil," and to some it's a fun way to connect with people. Here is South African singer-songwriter Joanne Cooper's take on using Facebook to connect with fans worldwide. http://www.joannecooper.co.za/blog/blog ... a-musician |

Here's an article by Keith Livingston about how to keep from overwhelming your fans or semi-fans with unwanted contacts while rewarding your superfans with more access and content. http://schwillyfamilymusicians.com/supe ... ialnetwork |

A fellow named Budi Voogt has been writing a lot about online presence for musicians. Here's one of his articles about Spotify: https://heroic.academy/artist-guide-spo ... -profiles/ |
